What is your deepest, darkest fear?

Yikes! Seriously, my deepest darkest fear is losing one of my children. I don't know how anyone could possibly survive this....I really don't ever think I would.

Now my other fears? Let's see.....being in the middle of the ocean.....not knowing how deep it is beneath me or WHAT is underneath me.

Flying. I am scared of planes....it just seems unnatural to be that high in the air....and I spend the entire flight thinking we're going to crash

Falling in water in a car. I believe this was a past life experience I actually MAY have shared with YGRS....if anyone wants to hear the story (and hasn't heard it yet) - I'll be glad to tell the tail

Wasps. Ugh....those natsy little things are just gross....and nasty

having to crawl through tight spaces....like when I see people who go cave exploring and they have to cralw on their bellies through unknown little spaces not knowing where it will take them....that makes me feel ill.

And now after seeing "Awake", I am scared to have surgery done and having the possibilty of being awake and paralized and feeling everything......that would BITE!!!

boy...am I nuerotic? That's a lot of fears......anyone else have this many fears???

I added YGRS to my neighborhood first. I added her because she's my mommy :o) Luv Ya Mom!

plus her posts make me cry because I laugh so hard sometimes....like the laundromat poopy pants ones...LOL

What's your favorite thing about being sick?

O.k... this question right here is INSANE! Let me tell you.....once you have kids (2 or more) there are no sick days. There is no lying around moaning anymore. There's not even anyone to take care of you! Oh no....it's you being ill and running around for them!!! Work, life and little ones do not stop for sick Moms....no, no.

That being said....I am getting over a stomach bug....bites, it's gross...eeeewwww.......but.........

I lost 3 pounds........

???????? I guess that would be my favorite part.........if there really was one!

If you had one month to live, what five things would you do?

O.k., well, I'd go to France with my husband and kids. See their gardens and taste their pasteries and cafe'.

I'd go to a tropical island somewhere with my husband. Drink tropical drinks and swim in the most gorgeous waters you can imagine. And have some "wild time" alone with my husband.

I'd screw housework and spend every moment with my kids and husband, making memories.

I'd do everything I could to make sure my kids would be taken care of when I was gone.

I'd go to Disney world with my family.

That would be my 5 things I would do if I only had a month to live.....

How did you create your username for VOX? What influenced your decision?

A long time ago (maybe 9 years?) I started studying Buddhism (my father was dying and I wanted some sort of "answers" to life and a friend gave me a book called "awakening the Buddha within" and it really hit home for me) and when we got our first computer and I had my first email account I called myself Lotus Girl..... The Lotus Flower is big in Buddhism....and so it sort of stuck. My engagement ring is in the shape of a flower and a friend of my Mom's (YGRS) said "Of Course, what else would Lotus Girl get?"...it's just me :o)

When you travel, do you use a guidebook so that you're well prepared, or do you go without much prior knowledge so that you're surprised?

Oh boy....my husband and I are they type of people that have lists for everything! When we go to the shore we have a huge list of things to take, things to check before we leave, things to take in the car....ect..... and yes, we get guide books to preplan some places we want to go (even if sometimes when we get there we decide to try some other place on a whim). We are just super organized (maybe a little nervous?) people who HAVE to know what we're doing before we do it. I sometimes wish I had a spontaneous soul......
